With Disney World currently being shut down due to the COVID-19 virus, the Disney College Program has been canceled for the semester and all College Program participants have been sent home. However, construction on the future housing development continues for future College Program participants and new concept art has been released showing what the development will look like. The development is being built in the Flamingo Crossings area, on the west side of Disney Property, just off of FL 429. The project will cost $630 Million and host 10,400 beds as well as two community centers, resort-style pools, a Disney education center, and more! The Disney Education center will boast new group study rooms, computers and Wifi. The development is currently building the east housing community, with a west community scheduled for a later date, which construction is still in very early phases on as of now.

This new concept art looks incredible and it looks like Disney is truly building something special for the future of the Disney College Program. Construction on the East Campus is expected to wrap up soon and participants are currently expected to move in for the Summer term, however that could certainly be delayed soon due to the COVID-19 closures. We can't wait for all our College Program friends to return to Central Florida and enjoy this new housing development!
