Life is the bubbles at Caribbean Beach! As expected, we pulled up to opening night of Sebastian's Bistro at the newly renovated Port Royals at Disney’s Caribbean Beach.
The story of the restaurant is that Sebastian loved life under the sea so much he wanted to turn his beach home into a restaurant to share his favorite meals. It’s a small restaurant (143 seats) with Caribbean music that Sebastian sings over and an awesome Caribbean inspired menu that made my Cody T stomach very happy!
We started with the Caribbean Pull-apart Rolls served with guava butter, mango chutney, and Jamaican jerk oil which EASILY joins the ranks of Disney’s Best Bread.
Marauders Snack - tostones, arepas, and house-made crackers served with black bean hummus, guacamole, and pico de gallo
I had the Slow-cooked Pork Shoulder with black beans, cilantro rice, corn tortillas, and mojo sauce (the meat was probably the best taco meat on property, sorry kids) and Lex had the Caribbean Goat Curry with cilantro rice, lime crèma, and crispy yuca.
Message in a Bottle - coconut-rice panna cotta, pineapple, and mango-lime sorbet
Banoffee Tart - banana custard, chocolate ganache, and caramel sauce
All in all, this is definitely one meal that I can say is not just "amazing for a Disney restaurant," but it's just amazing period!
