Content Strategist + Creator

About the Job

The Lost Bros, a theme park and pop culture community lifestyle brand based in Orlando, Florida, is in search of a Content Strategist and Creator to play a pivotal role in our digital growth journey. Our brand encompasses a wide digital reach which includes an apparel brand, daily social media content, short-form video, long-form video, music, events and more. We're looking for a content and strategy expert to help us strategize and create content and systems across our brand's channels that will grow our digital reach in the pop culture and theme park space.

 

The ideal candidate for this position is not just a content creator, but honestly - a shameless fan. To deviate from the professional tone of this listing for a moment - our small but mighty team are all theme park and pop culture fanatics. It's why we started this company, and it's how we've built such a massive community. We're dorky, avid fans of Disney, Universal, Taylor Swift, the Emo music revival, Bluey, Barbie, The Jonas Brothers, and so much more. These are not just the biggest affinities we create content around - but the things that we personally love so much. It's also not just pop culture - we are avidly passionate about consuming social media content as well - emerging trends, social media platforms, etc. The ideal candidate has no shame in their fandom, and wants to turn that love for the magical and fantastical into a long career of showing the world that it's cool to be that.

 

For all the fun that we have, every person here is equally dedicated and passionate about their craft and skills as well, so we would like to hone in on what the more "professional" requirements and qualifications of this job look like.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our team to strategize and execute the content strategy for The Lost Bros, encompassing the entire digital reach, both current and future. This includes various social media platforms, different content styles like short-form video and long-form video, as well as music, podcasts, and more.
  • Develop and execute digital product marketing strategies, specifically tailored for social media, to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Provide strategic content and social leadership and direction to the Community Manager and other roles, overseeing all community channels, including various community platforms.
  • Manage and curate content for our social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok, while actively fostering community engagement.
  • Craft engaging and shareable content that aligns with the brand's identity and deeply resonates with our target audience, which includes creating original written and visual content.
  • Regularly meet weekly and monthly deadlines, plus potential tight turnaround times for content pitches, content capture/production, and social uploads.
  • Attend weekly content pitch meetings with leadership to include several content ideas per week to align with upcoming brand-wide synergy oppurtunities.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of organic campaigns, using data to optimize strategies and achieve a high return on investment. Implement A/B testing when necessary to refine tactics.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic, ensuring all content aligns with our unique style and vision.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging digital marketing technologies, and incorporate innovative approaches to enhance brand visibility.
  • Learn and deeply understand our brand history, fanbase, and culture to create content that resonates with our audience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in content strategy and creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing success in relevant campaigns, jobs, etc.
  • Proven experience in building organizational systems, procedures, calendars, etc.
  • Leadership experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, analytics tools, and marketing software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for pop culture and theme parks is a must.
  • A strong drive to continuously learn and adapt to new trends and technologies.
  • Self-sufficiency and a proactive approach to self-growth.
