Today we're back at Kona Cafe for our first ever VEGAN breakfast! We always love going to Kona for pretty much any meal and we've covered a few different vegan Disney options in the past, so we're super stoked to be combining the two for one epic breakfast!

Vegan Loco Moco

Every time we come to Kona Cafe, the Loco Moco is an absolute must-have for us. It's a traditional island brunch staple and usually features a tower of rice, grilled hamburger patty, house-made chorizo gravy, two eggs-any style, and is topped with tomato salsa, but the vegan alternative is obviously a little bit different. They swap out the real eggs for vegan eggs, leave out the burger patty, and use a vegan house-made chorizo gravy which was honestly amazing! The vegan eggs definitely do have a slightly different taste to them, but when you add that vegan gravy on top, it's delicious!

Vegan Two Eggs-Any Style

We also decided to order a pretty traditional American breakfast which included the same vegan scrambled eggs that came with the Loco Moco in addition to home-fried potatoes and a vegan sausage that we swapped out for the traditional breakfast meat options.

All in all, we were pleasantly surprised! Although the vegan eggs don't always look all that appealing, they were actually pretty good. The vegan sausage on the other hand, is always a favorite of ours and both looks and tastes just like regular breakfast sausage! If you're vegan or just enjoy eating plant based meals from time to time, I would definitely give Kona Cafe's vegan breakfast a try!
