Garden Grill at Epcot Review

School is officially in session at Dale University and we're kicking off the semester by dining with Chip & Dale at Garden Grill! For $52 per adult, you get to enjoy a family style meal with Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey as well as seasonal menu offerings with some ingredients grown right at Epcot!

Dinner Rolls served with Honey Butter

Gluten Free Rolls served with Honey Butter

I have no better way to describe the honey butter other than to tell you that it was actually incredible. It's the perfect balance of sweet & salty AND you can still enjoy it even if you're gluten free by requesting a couple of gluten free rolls!

Garden Grill Salad

If you've ever ridden Living with the Land and wondered where what all of the food that you see being grown is used, well a lot of it is actually used on Disney property! The salad at Garden Grill is full of vegetables grown right at Epcot and we all really enjoyed it.

Family Style Main Course: Beef Pot Roast, Roasted Turkey w/ Gravy, Pork Tenderloin w/ Apples, Mashed Potatoes, Leek Stuffing, Roasted Root Vegetables, Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce, Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potato Fries, and French Fries

The main course was very similar to a Thanksgiving meal and the best part is that you get to enjoy as much as you'd like! Once you run out of something in your skillet, you can request more from your server to get the full family style experience. Some standouts for us were definitely the mac & cheese, turkey, sweet potato fries, and pot roast.

Gluten Free Family Style Main Course: Beef Pot Roast, Roasted Turkey, Pork Tenderloin w/ Apples, Mashed Potatoes, Rice Pilaf, Roasted Root Vegetables, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Fries, and French Fries

I've got amazing news about the gluten free feast and it's that it's really not all that different than the regular feast, so there's plenty to enjoy! Some differences between the two are that the gluten free meal does not include the macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, and turkey gravy. Other than that, Garden Grill is very gluten friendly!

Veggie Loaf with Tomato Sauce

Made of quinoa & black beans and fully vegetarian, the veggie loaf at garden grill honestly did not disappoint!

Shortcake w/ Berry Compote and Vanilla Whipped Cream

Although the berry shortcake didn't blow my mind, the homemade vanilla whipped cream absolutely did and I could've easily eaten it all by itself.

Gluten Free Mini Cake w/ Berry Compote, Allergy Friendly Chocolate Bar, and Allergy Friendly Chocolate Cookies

To all of our surprise, Garden Grill was able to fully deliver on the gluten free dessert! They brought out a mini gluten free version of the berry shortcake, a crispy chocolate bar, and chocolate, brownie-like cookies which all tasted delicious.

All in all, the food at Garden Grill was good enough, but definitely too expensive. It's the same price as our favorite character dining at Hollywood & Vine, but doesn't even begin to compare. As with any character dining, the aspect of getting to meet several characters without having to wait in long lines will always be the #1 draw, but I wish the food was up to par. I absolutely loved the rotating restaurant concept that takes you through part of Living with the Land as you dine, but I'll warn you that both Colton and Joe did get a little dizzy at first even though it only goes about 1 mph!
