Celebration at the Top - Savor, Sip, and Sparkle Review

This week I decided to have the ultimate "treat yo self" moment and made a reservation for one at California Grill's Savor, Sip, and Sparkle Celebration at the Top. This all inclusive dining experience is $100 per person (before tax and gratuity) and is only offered on Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy a full dinner & dessert buffet as well as the open bar all in the comfort of California Grill's private Sonoma dining room.

Upon your arrival to the restaurant, you're greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne for you to take with you to your table.

Complimentary Champagne

Shrimp Tempura Rolls, California Rolls, and Spicy Tuna Rolls

Although the sushi options included in the dining experience are all pretty generic and I wish there were few unique roll options, I still ate a ton and loved it!

Lobster Mango Ceviche & Tuna Tostadas

Comparing these two side by side, the Tuna Tostadas blow the Lobster Mango Ceviche very far out of the water. The tuna is served atop a crispy tostada & avocado cilantro puree and was one of the real highlights of the menu.

Pepperoni, Tomato, and Pesto Pizza // Butternut Squash, Fig, and Goat Cheese Pizza

Both pizza options available at the event were actually very delicious! They were still warm and incredibly fresh! The pepperoni was crumbled similar to a sausage and for someone who doesn't normally like goat cheese, I still really enjoyed both pizzas.

Beef Shortrib Hoagie

Honestly, this hoagie was not one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was pretty decent overall, but the cheese sauce really wasn't for me.

Char Sui Pork Bun

Char Sui Pork is one of my favorite dishes from Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom and California Grill's Char Sui Pork Bun definitely did not disappoint! They're fun & easy to eat and SO good!

Vegetarian Samosas

Samosas never disappoint and you really can't go wrong when paired with cucumber tzatziki sauce.

Vanilla Cheesecake

Started off the dessert table with the bitesized Vanilla Cheesecakes which were pretty good, but definitely nothing groundbreaking.

Red Velvet Whoopie Pies & Chocolate Fruit Tarts

Both of these two desserts were honestly amazing! I always love the whoopie pies available across property and the fruit on top of the chocolate tarts was extremely fresh!

Hazelnut Crunch Cake & Creme Brûlée Tarts

Here we have the best and worst of the desserts all in one photo. The Hazelnut Crunch Cake was absolutely incredible, the Creme Brûlée Tarts, however, were not quite as amazing. They were more tart-like than traditional creme brûlée which gave them a very different consistency than you would expect.

All in all, I had an incredibly relaxing night out. I'm not too sure that I would highly recommend giving this dining experience a try by yourself (unless you also just want to treat yo self), but it's perfect for a couple's night out! The real value comes from the open bar of beer, wine, and liquor as well as from the unlimited food, but you also get an amazing view of the fireworks from one of California Grill's private balconies reserved exclusively for this event. The food quality is also up to the usual California Grill standard so if you already love dining at the restaurant, then you're sure to love this!
